Physical Environment

An adequate and protected physical environment is required. This means the premises must by physically secure, the hardware must be technically capable of meeting production requirements and easily duplicated by comparable back-up hardware. It also means that the office space occupied by the employees is comfortable and has enough space to ensure comfort. Furthermore, the environment must meet the specifications of the hardware vendor. There must be adequate power and a sufficient “Uninterrupted Power Supply” (“UPS”) attached to the hardware to assure a soft shutdown in the event of a power failure.
